Flooded Out
Problem: During heavy rain, water comes through the hood hinge drowning the motor. Does anyone make a shield to control this? If not, has anyone figured out a way to control this. I know that I am not the only one with this problem. Thanks

Re: Flooded Out
Good afternoon...It seems to me that I have seen hoods from 32 Fords used and they have a different hinge that is part of a solid chrome strip down the center of the hood. You might like it. Ernie in Arizona

Re: Flooded Out
Spray electrical components with WD40, engine will usually start right up.

Re: Flooded Out
I wired a trough with a copper down tube under the center hinge. Worked fine in a desert deluge with flowing water up to the running boards.

Re: Flooded Out
If its running, and raining hard, likely you'll pull more in through the radiator fins than will leak through the hinge.

Re: Flooded Out
Do you have engine splash pans on?
