Default 49-50 Ignition Switch Bezel Removal

Is the ignition switch bezel on the outside of dashboard of 49-50 ignition switches just clipped on, so that I can just use a screwdriver to pop it off? I don't want to start prying if there's something else holding it on.

Thx.

Green Bible page 173 figure 88 indicates bezel is removed by carefully prying off. Switch is removed once bezel is off turn switch 1/8 clockwise until lugs line up with slots in dash panel.

Hope this helps,

Tom

As I recall the switch is spring loaded. There is a spring behind the dash. Push the switch towards the front of the dash to relieve the tension on the bezel and twist off the bezel
