Hello again all...
Im going to put a motor together for my 36 Ford Truck that you see on my avatar... Its too rough for stock, and I like noise. Im going to keep it all stock, but id like to build a nice sounding/looking motor. Im sure id have better luck on the HAMB, but I dont like the attitudes/know it alls over there, and I like what the old timers of this hobby have to say.

So far what I have is a nice running 41' motor.
Im going to ring and bearing it since it doesnt show much wear and doesnt have ridges on the cylinders. Its just a weekend cruiser.
I have an Edelbrock Super intake with two 97's
Edelbrock heads
Homemade headers and exhaust.

I want it to lope at idle, and dont care about crazy power. I want it to look good and sound good.... Any advice on a good sounding camshaft?

All stock drivetrain on my 36.. three speed manual, the only thing updated is later model juice brakes with small bolt pattern.

Any ideas are welcome

After seeing the above post on the L100 cam, im hooked... I looked at a few youtube videos of the cam running and it sounds like what Im looking for.

Yeah, seems like the L100 cam is the #1 choice around here. I went with the Schneider 254 in my 8BA. Vast improvement over stock, but not much in the lope department. If I'm ever crazy enough to do another flathead, I'm going to try the L100

After the oil companies did all that research to come up with something to eliminate the 'lope' now you want to put it back?
