An O ring and a thin washer slipped over the sector where it mounts to the frame will solve the leak problem and you really don't have to modify anything. Brattons offers this O ring and washer for seventy cents. It doesn't get any easier or less expensive. A probable cause for the leak is that the outer sector bushing was probably installed backwards. The spiral oil groove isn't suppose to continue to the outside edge of the housing where it mounts to the frame. Still, the O ring and thin washer will stop the leak at the frame.
