I have, they were in Wheelsmith boxes who are in Corona, CA. The only problem I have with them is the chroming in the center which looks like spray on silver paint, vey poor finish.... not a problem if running the matching Wheelsmith / Speedway hubcaps...stock caps do not fit

Wait......what?
Wheel Smith wheels won’t take stock hubcaps?
I knew Wheel Vintiques would not, but not Wheel Smith. Bummer!

A few months ago I ordered from WheelSmith, and requested inside nibs for stock 8-1/4" '40 hub caps. No problem.
And the chrome is to perfection!

As quoted on the Speedway site regarding Vintage wheels and hubaps "A variety of options are available for center caps. Must use our Vintage Series caps or adapters - original caps will not fit these wheels without adaptation." I don't know what deal Speedway has with Wheelsmith but the wheels I received were in Wheelsmith boxes ?

Why don't you deal direct with Wheel Smith and cut out Speedway?

Sounds like Speedway just wants to sell hubcaps in addition to the wheels?

WheelSmith "Gennie" wheels. Only pic I have is after centers were painted body color. (hub caps will be '40 Standard cap with the blue V8 logo, which is real close to body color)

I have a pair of Wheel Vintiques Gennie's on my '40... Stock hubcaps fit just as well as they do on the original wheels.

I to have some Drake hubcaps on 16 inch Wheel Vintique wheels that I got before they sold out to Coker. Caps fit fine.

I've used both Wheelsmith and Wheel Vintique's wheels and have not had a problem with hub caps not fitting. The wheels that were a problem were made by US Wheel Co. There was no way stock caps would fit them. Got them from Summit and sent them back. If the other companies are now buying wheel centers from the same place as US Wheel then there can be a problem.
