Default Columbia Rear install info

I’m installing a Columbia kit from John Connelly on my ‘33 Tudor. What diameter and length of copper tubing do I need? That’s the only thing not in the kit. Hopefully someone has done this before. Thanks.

I can tell you how I did my "32". I ran parallel 3/8" copper on the inside of the passenger frame rail. I was able to pass it between the K-member and the frame where I extended to the control valve with rubber hoses. At the rear I stopped at a point and kicked it out slightly, where the rubber hose could be attached without kinking. To hold the copper on the frame I used John Connelley's S.S. B-60 clips. I purchased a soft copper roll and a 3/8" tubing straightener. John has an illustration, Page 4 of 10 in his catalog for 33-34 to give you a good idea how it's ran.

How Many feet??

My car is a custom job for a "32". My two piece were 4 foot each. Maybe someone who did an installation on a 33-34 can chime in.

3/8" soft copper usually comes in a 25 ft roll at the hardware store, so you will have plenty. You can get a straighter on Ebay, they're not expensive, this one is size specific.

Originally it was 3/8” copper coated steel line. If you’re not concerned with what’s correct , brake line works well.

He's not at all concerned with correctness.

Ken, why, because the car already had DeLuxe additions/upgrades and I continued in that direction? I like my cars stock and original as possible. I didn’t see any sense to remove the DeLuxe additions already added.

Tim, adding a Columbia is not a deluxe "addition / upgrade".
In fact, as it wasn't offered by Ford in 1933, it isn't aligning with keeping your car stock.

Great point Kube, I wasn’t aware of what year the Columbia was first available.

I thought Ken was referring to my woodgraining my dash and garnish mouldings. Blasphemy!! Ford/Lincoln Zephyr authorized Columbia’s in 1937.

Um, no, that's incorrect.
Ford? Not until 1941.
