radiator hoses 8ba to 59a
Nothing's ever easy. The necks on the thermo housings on my 8ba are much smaller than those on the 59a in my 39 sedan. Is there an easy rig cure or does anyone make hoses for this conversion?

Go to NAPA> They make a rubber reducing sleeve for the larger hose.

The purpose made reducers are just right...long before they were available, I just cut the ends off of one 8BA hase and used them for adaptors! The new way is almost certainly better in offering a better grip on everything than the eaxterior of a hose.

Tatom Custom Engineering; www.tatom.com, makes the 8 BA necks for the larger hoses. The phone number should be 360-424-8314. I used them on my 40 with an 8Ba and they worked great. Not cheap, but they look great.

"Flathead Jack" Schneider makes water outlets for late model flatheads with 1.75" hose connections. Very pretty, well made and $45 ea. Makes an engine swap to an earlier chassis easier and looks nice when finished
