Leaking studs/replacement ???
I have a rebuilt 36 motor that have wet studs. Can you replace the studs by removing one at a time, sealing a new stud and reinserting it, then move onto the next without removing the head?

Re: Leaking studs/replacement ???
Here is a little backyard trick to cure weeping head studs with out taking anything apart. First drain the coolant from the engine to a point below the level of the cylinder head studs. Second clean the offending stud with brake clean or alcohol and air dry with a hair drier. Take clear liquid finger nail polish and brush around the stud threads, allow to dry and refill the coolant. This should make a seal to prevent the water from migrating up the studs. If you want to take this one step further you can remove the nut from the leaking stud use the same procedure, coat the stud threads, re torque the nut tight and allow the polish to dry.
