Default Front spring id

The long and short of this story is this:

I purchased a front and rear suspension that were parted out of a 1940 slantback sedan-

However the measurments on front spring are throwing me off -
Eye to eye center is 38 1/2, leaves are 2" wide. There are 11 leaves including the saftey leaf. The spring had also had a grease sleave . What has me stumped is The eye diameter is 1 1/8", not 3/4-

The center to center measurments on the spring hangers are 42 1/2"

I still have the axle and the center to center perch bolt measurement is 38 1/2"

The rest of the parts including the car were defiantly 1940...

Unfortunately I no longer have the wishbone to confirm any measurments-

At this point I'm trying to figure out what parts I actually have??

I'm using this spring in the ass end of my 29 roadster project..

II can post a picture of the spring later -

Thanks in advance for the sharing of your early ford wisdom!
