Default "Fordex Data" $40 book - any reviews?

I see a new publication has arrived that deals with the Ford Model A ; the 216 page reprint of a 1930 Ford sales training manual "FORDEX DATA", for $40, plus $6 shipping.

Has anyone bought a copy of this book ? And for those who have, can you give us your impressions, and comment on its value and usefulness to the mainstream Model A owner ?

Maybe the clubs with a club library will buy it and someone can give a review.

I found a full page ad for it on page 31 of the latest (Winter 2015) issue of MODEL A TIMES quarterly magazine, by FORD BARN Forum member John LaVoy. The ad is the same thing you see when you open the Ulysses6 (post #5 above) last (3rd) web link (facebook)

I was told I would get one to review but haven't seen it yet. Looked at the MAFCA banquet . It was a raffle prize. I've seen the original it was copied from and the copy process etc. looked good. Lots of detailed information about how the Model A was being sold in 1930.

I bought one from Jim Spawn at the Little Rock Meet in December. I have read it through and found it to be an informative book. There are some great illustrations in the book. It was a fun read. I feel it is an important piece of Ford History. I would buy it again. Jim is also donating part of the profit to the Model A Foundation. Another reason to support this book. Jay

Vince, it could happen in several ways. Facebook really does not have a way to verify a real name on an account. In addition to a personal FB account, I have a business account on Facebook which does not cost me a dime. Also, they sell advertising where they allow ads to be shown to a demographic market that I choose. The costs for this range anywhere from a dollar a day to however much I want to spend. Facebook is generating mega amounts off of advertising for businesses.

Is there any info on the AA trucks? Specs, outsourced body providers, etc.?

Thanks,

Stew

I'm wondering if the Fordex book is the same or different than the "Ford Sales Manual" for dealer and salesmen is the same or similar. I picked this up from one of the barn members a while back. It's an original 1930 edition with truck supplements from '29 and '30 as well.

Pretty nice shape for the age.
