Default Gear Oil in a 1959 Edsel Rear End

I'm going to be changing the gear oil in my rear diff and am wondering what the equivalent to SAE 90 is. I've tried searching through the net but it's a somewhat confusing subject, with GL1 AND GL5 as well as 75/90 80/90 and so-fourth. Cany anyone shed some light on the subject?

use gl3 or gl4, 85-90 weight, its a multi weight oil and it will work fine
