Default to drive or not to drive?

well the snow is pretty well melted here in wny near buffalo,
the roads are dry.
however there is some residual salt on roads in spots, not much.
im itching to take the model t out for a drive after work
its a nice car but not a show car

should i go for it?

I would wait until after a good rain comes and washes things off. If you do go out before make sure you hose off the whole car top to underside.

Back in the day, they didn't treat the roads with salt and the like. We all have the itch, but best to wait a bit.

My T is 85 years old. The metal is still thicker than that on my modern truck. I don't think my T will rust out in my lifetime. I bought mine to drive and drive it I do.

I live in a very salty area. Trust me, like an original car - they are only salt free ONCE! Wet salt or salt dust driven in to the cracks by washing NEVER goes away. I have had a couple of nice cars unavoidably covered with road spray - sold them both since they never were the same again. Wait if you can. A good rain will clear the roads & we all can get going.
