Default Headlight adjustment?

My 24 T headlight buckets, light socket and adjusting screw is in perfect condition and I will soon be wiring them up.

Does the adjustment screw adjust focus like spot to flood (generally speaking)? What would I expect to see if adjusted all the way out and all the way back?

Thank you,

Fourdy

Very little.

All depends on the cp of the bulb, the modern bulbs are actually made wrong, the filament in located opposite the Ford original bulb, so adj screw makes little difference.

With the buckets set a proper spot (bend the brackets to align) the beams should be set to the Ford specs. i.e. each lamp 28" aprot from each other.

Great silver plate in the reflector makes the brigher light, plus the high output bulb.

tmodelman,

I failed to say that the bulbs are halogen, 65 & 55 watt. I have been unable to find someone to silver plate my reflectors so was thinking of buying new chrome ones.

Thanks for the info and chart.

Try Steves auto restoration in Portland Oregon they can get the reflectors resilvered or better yet google UVIRA reflectors and see what they can do.
