What year and model VW turn signal and electronics under the dash is it? Looks like a cleaner installation than some of the aftermarket stuff. Thanks

You can use the lever from 50' VW Bug or Transporter

This is the "Style" switch used throughout England and Europe for many years on many vehicles. NOTE on the lower left and of the gauge cluster.

The Blinkie controller should make your wife happy since the turn signal is turned off after a set time.... so she doesn't have to say "do you know your turn signal is still on?" Of course, I reply "I know it's still on, I want it on for the next mile or so"

The blinkie timer is set so if you do it quick its perfect for lane changes then hold longer for turns as well as always on if you hold brake. Also, the length of it puts the lever at your finger tips with a stock size steering wheel just like your modern car. I think there was a bunch of thought put in the design. Made in USA like our Fords. I do have a VW part in my 34, its a 12v bug horn hidden in original horn housing. Ken

Very nice looking and nice features , but for $495 , i think I will stick to the $30 universal clamp on style I have always used .
Even at $395 from Hot rods and custom stuff in Escondido , still spendy.

I agree plus I would have to change form 6v +ve ground to 12 v negative

Unfortunately, the positive ground is a problem for the current design (no pun intended) since the electronics don't like the polarity change. There has been at least one 6 VDC installation but no positive ground solutions that I am aware of. Too bad as the old Ford market demand could be large.

I have decided on the BOSCH Classic turn-signal switch # 0 341 810 013 with integrated headlight-flasher function (right picture)
I will make a housing similar to the VW assembly.

For those who are looking for a different option and one that will work on 6 or 12 v and both + or - ground, below is a great option. I have one and it's perfect.

Not to be contrary, but I can tell you that my real world experience says this is an untrue statement.
