Default Macungie Pa. Car Show

Attended the Macungie show today after skipping the last two years.
Hot weather as usual
The car show was great as always.
Both the craft show and the swap meet were decidedly smaller.
Car corral had about 20 cars or so.
They consolidated the swap meet into 2 fields the third field was almost empty.
They did have a booth offering early registrations for next year. Hopefully they will drum up some new vendors.
Looks like Saturday is the better day to attend.
We'll probably go next year depending on the weather.
Anyone else go ?

Phil, I was at the Macungie show 2 days. Always a favorite for the last 30 yrs. Sadly they are losing vendors. Admission went up to make up for lost vendors I was told. As far as the old cars not as many showing up. Older folks passing, younger folks have no interest. A street rod show 8/23-24-25 at Macungie Park. The best in my opinion. Special guest and 1500 street rods/customs. It's a good one folks... Tom Z...

I haven't made it in a few years, but my last experience was about the same. Eating breakfast across the street there was no parade of cars entering. The one swap meet field was almost empty and there was a handful of cars in the car corral. I would have liked to go this year but it seems to be shrinking yearly.

I haven't been in a few years. I went this year on Friday, and was very dis-appointed. The total amount of flea market vendors was about half as many as I remember. I perused the flea market, shot the bull with a few people, and left. I used to drive from Connecticut. About 4 1/2 hours, now I live near Carlisle ,Pennsylvania, and it took about 1 3/4 hours to get there. It isn't the same for me, so this is probably my last time there.

My wife and I went this year and really enjoyed it. Look forward to next year! The presentation cars were Mopars . There were some really beautiful cars there. This show my wife told me she enjoyed above all other shows. That makes me happy. Connected with a few friends from other clubs we belong too. Picked up a few parts to restore. Stopped on the way home for a nice meal. Stopped at are favorite vegetable stand for great vegetables and fruit. Life is Good!!! PS The ladies tents with merchandise, the Band Shell music in the back ground also helps them too enjoy it, a good mix for everyone!
