Thank you. The '39 Lincoln Zephyr is actually dark green, itís a '48 Caddy color, and it was painted on Long Island in 1958 by Earl Shibe (spelling). I'm planning on painting it a dark "eggplant" purplish-blue with burgundy wheels and interior dash, console and garnish moldings. The interior will be redone as stock, dark red leather, and carpeting and a black hartz cloth canvas top with burgundy piping. Hopefully Iíll actually finish it one day.

Thats why I could quite place it with in the smallish photo. I LOVE it! PLEASE get it finisihed soon. I'd LOVE to see it in person completed.

In the mid to late '90's I had a '47 Chevy convertible that was a very dark purple, very eggplant in color. It was a '94?ish Camaro color called Hawaiian Orchid. Very cool color. Looked almost black at night.

i remember earl shribe ..i lived in queens ny in the 60s ,his motto was i will paint any car any color 29.95.....how ever he painted my 55 chev nomad and charged me 49.95 because it was a station wagon, the black paint was perfect, today you coulden't buy a quart of black paint for that price. lol

I'll do better than that, you can drive the Zephyr if you get down to the Tampa area.
