Ford Engine plant coded "RC" ?
Did Ford have any engine assembly plants (or any other plants) with the code "RC" during the Model A thru 1940 era ?
Thanks, Frank |

Re: Ford Engine plant coded "RC" ?
I don't know but I'm wondering the same thing. My car has a diamond block with a 1937 date code and the number stamp says RC 3445 and nothing else. It would be nice to know where it came from...

As far as I know there was only one US engine plant.

John - I have a Model A diamond block with date code for June 9, 1935. The number pad above the water inlet is stamped: R C 55086 (star) I am trying to see if anyone knows the significance of the "R C". Do you know anything about the history of your diamond engine ? Frank |

Nope - no idea of the history of the engine. I just got the car a month ago and am new to Model A's so I'm learning a lot (thanks to this site!). Heck, a month ago, I didn't even know what a diamond block is!
