Default Stan Howe Carburetors

When Stan Howe passed he had two Stromberg OFs of mine which he was to rebuild for me. Both were in fairly good shape, but I wanted Stan Howe rebuilds so I would know they were right. I also sent him a check for $820, four hundred to rebuild each carburetor and $20 for the return shipping.

I sent pictures of the carburetors, their serial numbers, and a picture of the cashed check to his nephew who its taking care of getting the carburetors Stan was fixing to their correct homes. Today I received the two carburetors, Stan had not started on them. I will get my money back after an executor has been appointed.

I would like to thank Stan's nephew for taking care of this and let anyone who has a carburetor there that they are being returned to the owner.

If you need to contact Stan's nephew about a carburetor you had there send me a pm and I will send you his nephew's contact info.

Sad that Stan is gone, he led an incredible life and made many contributions to the Model T world. And was the carburetor GURU.

Knowing Stans' reputation, you almost didn't have to make this post...in my eyes it was just a given!

He was an asset to the hobby, I always gravitate toward others who are also known as the best in their area of expertise & Stan was definitely one of those! It is a real shame how badly he was treated by another forum/club towards the end!

God Bless
Bill
