1930 cabriolet cowl holes
I am trying o post a picture with this thread. Hopefully it will work this time:
My friend is restoring a 30 cabriolet Briggs body number off cowl is 161-20193. Serial number A36620xx. Holes are in the cowl on both sides as pictured. Appear to be some type of vent. Was this possibly factory? It is doubtful because heat from the hood louvers would flow right in. The holes are very neatly cut. Anybody ever seen anything like this? |

Re: 1930 cabriolet cowl holes
Hi Sid,
I've never read about or seen a Cabriolet with cowl vents offered as original equipment or factory authorized accessory. |

Re: 1930 cabriolet cowl holes
Did not the very early A have a vent on the side of the cowl on the driver's side for a short time, something like on a late 50's Studebaker?
The one in the picture looks like a modification though. Paul in CT |
