Default Running Board Trim

I will be installing some new stainless steel running board trim. I can see that the outer trim gets held on by crimping over the bottom edge. What holds the front, back, and inner trim pieces. The new pieces aren't wide enough to crimp them over the lower edge of the running board.
Thanks!!!

What type of car do you have? 28/29 end trim pieces are riveted to the runningboard. I don't know about 30/31's as I have never owned a 30/31 model A. The inner long piece is also crimped over like the long outer piece on 28/29 runningboards.

I believe these for a 1930. They came with the shorter splash aprons on them held on by very small sheet metal screws. They look like older reproductions. The outer trim piece fits fine to be able to crimp them on the under side. But the other three pieces aren't.

On my 30 the other 3 pieces just slid in and had holes for the bolts to go through, at the fenders and aprons.
