Re: 1930 needs help
Wow, that sure ain't much to go on. What carburetor do you have, what are the point gaps at all four lobes, what is the timing set at? All of these are huge in helping us correctly diagnose your issue. Otherwise you will receive random suggestions that will likely do more harm than good if you are unfamiliar with your baseline.

Re: 1930 needs help
Still not much info. What is your experience with these monsters ? As said, is this problem new or old ? Where is the left lever set ? Where is the GAV set ?

Re: 1930 needs help
By selector rod do you mean the LH spark control rod ?If you hit a bad bump, maybe the wire below breaker plate has a loose strand or 2 that was grounding against side of dist hsg & moving spark lever was enough to move wire way from hsg.The wire should be a very fine strand silicone covered wire which is available at hobby shops as it is used on remote control airplanes. It needs to be the correct length so that it doesnt rub on the spring under beaker plate or rub on dist hsg when moving spark lever. Also, use the original style breaker plate & points as the "modern" points are a PITA to adjust.Just another case of "modern" isnt better.
