Default Towing my "A"

Any problems towing my 29 pickup with the visor? Should I load it backwards on trailer? Don't want problems with damaging visor.

Tape down your windshield wiper blade.

I towed my 28 pickup from Illinois and did have to stop and tighten the visor. I’m not sure if it was from the wind currents off my Suburban or possibly it was a little loose before I left.

Strap it down on on the trailer on all four corners, but not in the middle of the front axle.

Just saw a video on trailering a classic car. He likes forward incase a door pops open less damage.

Good idea unless you are towing a Fordor...

Fastroadster - I would NOT recommend towing by the visor - GRIN - however, I trailer Ol' Clyde, '29 CCPU, routinely all about with absolutely no problems facing forward. I strap it down on the front axle, outboard of the spring perches (each side), and as far out on the rear axle as possible. I drive whatever the speed limit happens to be - I've owned the truck since forever......

Cars are driven forwards up to 65MPH without a problem, so towing them on a trailer facing forward would be no extra problems.

It's simple enough to run a couple of straps over the top of the car with rags under them.

Use good straps or come-alongs, do NOT trust the straps on U-Haul trailers. I have tried twice and both times they came loose, maybe they don't like 16 inch tires. I know the come-alongs are not coming loose.

You can never go wrong by chock blocking all 4 tires and tying down all 4 corners of the vehicle from underneath. I wish I still had all the cars and trucks I have brought home on a trailer.

1700 miles last week with no issues. Ran 70 MPH with the front facing forward on an open trailer. I have a tongue weight scale and have a single chock in the preferred position for each car for a balanced ride.
