Default Taking a break

May 5th I am off on a two month trip around the US. No, not with the 36 but on a Motorcycle. Work on the 40 Pickup will have to wait a bit. I have always wanted to do this ride since I was a kid, had to wait until I'm 60 on an insulin pump with more pills than I can stuff in my tank bag. But I am still dumb enough to think I can do this, that's gota count for something. So if you see an old guy on a big yellow BMW packed like some old mule, it will be me, maybe next time with a flathead. Jon

Perhaps you could stop by and visit a few fordbarners along the way. Combine your motorcycle voyage with early Fords and post some pictures of all the places and people you meet. Good luck, safe travels and have a great time.

If you're going to be anywhere near Indianapolis, stop at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway museum. Pretty interesting way to kill a couple of hours AND you're about 2 or 3 blocks from Bubba's place. Have a safe trip and enjoy!!!!!

Jon,

Keep the shiney side up, and watch out for those four wheelers! Wish I was taking that ride too!! I often think that by the time I can afford to do something like this, I'll be too old to enjoy it!!

Age wise not far behind you. My wife wants a trip down Route 66 and I hope to do that in the 37 if I get the damn thing finished. If not, then a camper.

Take care and have a great time!

Envy you Jon. I've wanted to do that all my life. Am 70 now and it isn't looking any better. Doesn't hurt to dream though. Have a great trip and ride safe.

Enjoy JonC, life is shorter than we think. Watch out for the 18 wheelers they have trouble seeing you even though they are probably some of the best drivers on the road.

Gary I have never had a problem with the truckers, they know what they're doing, it's the idiots with the cell phones I worry about.
