Default Carter key for points

The points on my 39 are held in place by tiny brass carter keys. Where are these available? Thanks for your response very much.

the oldest auto parts store/ auto repair shop ---find the oldest counter guy, look in the oldest cotter pin assortment
even into the later 70s the automotive cotter pin assortment had these small brass cotter pins

have you looked in the small fastener assortments at a hardware store, my local ace has pretty good selection, but it changes

I found mine at tru value hardware. They usually have a stack of small pull out drawers
where you help yourself and put the goods in a plastic bag and pay at the counter.
All kinds of small funky stuff in those drawers.,

Related question for the retainer geeks!
Carburetor kits for Ford 94 type carbs contain an equally tiny R type clip, like the huge ones used on trailer hitch hardware. These look to be a neat replacement for the little cotters but I have never found a reasonable source as they come one to a carb kit.
I assume the application in the kits is for some late variant with an automatic choke.
