Default Anybody mount a brake pedal switch on a 32 Ford with mechanical brakes.

I picked up one of these brake switches from Macs. Hoping I could make it work on a 32 Ford with mechanical brakes. Trying to find a mounting spot for it in the brake pedal area. Anybody do it before and can give me a pic?

It mounts to the top of the transmission. Easier if you pull floorboard. If I have a photo I will post it. Just did mine

Ok I see it in pic 188. Is that a spring attached to the end of the switch? How does the switch actuate? I'm confused

You need the correct 1932 switch and it will become obvious. Maybe you can find a picture on EBAY or in "The 1932 Ford Book".

The spring on mine is messed up. It is supposed to attach to the end of the switch which mine does. The other end attaches to a washer with a hole in it on the pedal assembly. Picture 147 shows about where it is. Mine was incorrectly Hooked into the cotter pin. washer should be to the left of the cotter pin. There is a photo in the 1932 ford book, but I am away from home and can't tell you where.
