Default '32 Quarter window rubber seal

Need to buy rubber seals for 5 window coupe quarter windows. Saw these from Bob Drake with a lip added to the outside; any one used them?

Never seen those before. I just used the regular rubber seal.

Been caught in the rain plenty, some real frog stranglers and gulley washers too! Don't see the need, and besides, I think the look would be bad.

Seals are available unbonded in long lengths or bonded in one piece; any experiences or comments on which to use? (Stock windows).
