Midnight Sun Cruise-In - Fairbanks Alaska
Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum here in Fairbanks Alaska hosted the Midnight Sun Cruise-In, the second semi-annual Car Show and Tour de Fairbanks.
I was unable to attend the events, however I did stop by and was able to meet some of the folks who had traveled up from Anchorage. The weather was pleasant, in the mid-70's and it looks like everyone had a great time. Glad to meet CarlG, his '31 Pick-up with Budd Cab is the last of these photos. Darryl in Fairbanks |

Over 900 miles (round trip) for those of us that made the trip from Anchorage. More pictures to follow.

Re: Midnight Sun Cruise-In - Fairbanks Alaska
Although we lost 3 minutes of daylight today, the sun will not set until 40 minutes after midnight tonight.
Length of Day 21 hours 33 minutes, Visible Daylight 24 hours. The photos in my first two posts were taken about 4:00PM. However, this photo of my Phaeton was taken at 3:00 AM on Memorial Day about 5 years ago. Darryl in Fairbanks |

Re: Midnight Sun Cruise-In - Fairbanks Alaska
John Kuhnast,
All-Steel Model A and AA cabs manufactured by Budd Company feature an all steel top that is a one piece stamping, which incorporates the Sunvisor and extends to the rain gutters. The only seam on the top is where the steel top meets the back of the cab at the rear and is nailed to the wood, in the same fashion as other '30-'31 Pick-Up Cabs. It also incorporates pressed steel ribs in lieu of the traditional wood ribs used previously. Darryl in Fairbanks |
