1950 Outside door handle buttons
Feel silly,but I can't seem to figure out how the o rings stay on the button when installed into the handle .Any help appreciated

Been a long time since I have seen the inside of door handles as mine were removed years ago.
Is there a lip around the inner surface that holds it from slipping off the back of the button?
