I had a friend for many years that owned a Plumbing Company here in Ventura, his everyday vehicle for many years was a '56 Ford 2dr wagon. The wagon served two purposes, gave Joe a utility vehicle with a little style.
When the wagon finally gave out in the mid '70's Joe got the '56 F100 that he had restored many years earlier.
I always wanted a '57 Ranchero, never found one that was not all rusted out with cancer. I finally settled for a Hemmings Die-cast '57 Ranchero...

This is what is available today for $1500. You should be able to see it without going into FB.

Bring a trailer, bring a floor. Looks like a project for a very energetic younger person. Looks like most of the bones are there. Wonder where the chrome headlamp doors came from? Midnight auto supply back in the day?

Yes, the Del Rio Ranch Wagon had the same side trim as the Custom 300 passenger car.

These days you would get arrested for having the kids in the cargo area, like in the brochure picture above. It was a normal part of childhood when I was young.

Isn't that the truth. We used to ride in the back of grandpa's Chevy PU for twenty miles and never gave it a thought.

When I was in HS in the late '60's I went to Ensenada Mexico with the youth group from my church to help build a church. We all piled in the back of a 24' stake bed rental truck with our supplies and gear and off we went down I-5. No big deal. Not happening today.

This one just absolutely does it for me!

2 Door Wagons hold a big place on my bucket list (it is a large list!) & before I die I plan on having several 2 door wagons from various manufacturers!

Over on the HAMB, there is an Edsel thread that also shows a beautiful 2 door wagon!

God Bless
Bill
