Curious what type of vacuum gauge works best to sync 97 have dual set up

Never used vacuum gage to do so but have used one of these.

IOM, I Don't it makes much difference what kind of gauge you use. As long as you can read it, 3.5 to 4" and some type of attachment. I've tried mechanical ones and digital, I prefer the digital ones BUT under the hood I think mechanical would be wiser.
