I took less than a year.
Did I have all the parts no. But I did have a running gear. I used to have lots at the Charlotte race track. So I found most of the parts I needed there, plus had some before I got the truck. I had to buy new top irons.

Nice George. Thats the kind I start out with. I`m retired and on a fixed income with lot`s of time and limited money. makes you feel proud to make something from nothing. my avatar pic is a car built out of spare parts. no complete car to start with. Just got a 1928 depression era farm truck that was a 4 door. and very rusty sheet metal that came off of it in 1943. keep up the good work it makes us all proud....Dave

You did a nice job on your car also. I do the same as you, try to keep the cost down. The truck that I'm building now, I'm using a lot of rusty parts that most would through away. It makes you feel good when you get it done and it looks like new.

Thanks George.. we may not have high points cars but we built them on our on. Out of cars most would run from! we should have a class of Phoenix cars. Raised from the ashes......I enjoy my cars that is what they were made for. And to bring families together in projects that can and are enjoyed by the grandkids, neighbors, and friends....keep up the good work,,,,,Dave
