Not just multi disc clutch springs that can be scare the heck outa ya.

hate to be this guy. but a shock like that has 0 load on spring when the adjusting rings are screwed off the bottom.

That's great. I built a spring compressor out of unistrut, plate steel and all-thread when I had to compress a spring/shock combo like that one.

Looks like a Harbor Freight welder and welding cart next to the workbench. Ought to tell you something...
