Default Sport Coupe Top Installation - HELP

First time installing a top on a 29 sport coupe; have a couple questions

1) Do rear cardboard filler panels that start flush with metal verticle bow #2 supprts get attached to the metal supports or just nailed on top to bow and bottom to betline? If yes, how?

2) Does rear beltlIne wood get covered inside, top and back with bow drill material so visible when rear windows is open.

3) Does top get covered front to back and side to side between the cardboard fillers before the top material, or is the underside of the top the interior top?

Thank you

I can't describe much without having a car in front of me but maybe these pics from 30 years ago will help.

Thanks for responses. Unfortunately the instructions leave a bit to be desired in terms of details and I do not have a finished one readily available to reference. I see in the second picture the cloth covers the back (outside) of the beltline wood down to where the trim piece would cover the bottom edge. So when the rear window is pulled up it is finished. Mine was cut short, so looks like I have some work to do this weekend.

The last picture shows the a bit of a gap between the filler and support; the same as mine so I am assuming the two were not glued or riveted together.

Marco - do you recall if their was cloth covering the mid-section of the roof (visible from inside) and then the top or was the underside of the top the interior roof?

Thanks again. Great looking interior work

Most kits and/or shops use convertible top material and have the inside of the top fabric showing. This one I did more like original which included a sheet of matching fabric tacked at the rear bow and header, and overlapping the side panels approximately 5". Then a strip of thin cotton wadding (about 10" wide?) was centered over the center bow running side to side. I similar strip (a little narrower) was placed across the front.

The front strip MAY not have been used on the '29 models since they don't a raised lip across the front like the '30-31 visors do. I've never pulled an original top from a '28-29 Sport Coupe.
