I no longer had my dash top rail,I don't even remember selling it . Well it hasn't been back together for some time now,I took my 28A apart in 1965. Here is what I did, made a wood one and rear rail too,so here is a photo or two.

No its not stock, still fig ya enjoy the dash, back when I got my 1928 A,the back of car had been run over by a tractor from side to side crushing the trunk flat, motor was running a field pump house and the farmer would only give me the smashed body and frame,so not fixible as a stocker.
But she's all Ford,I built this back in 1959 for highschool ,ran it tell 1965,got a new wife and house, so took it apart, sold off a few of them to buy stuff for new house and didn't start to try and rebuild it tell a few years ago. It's 1957 Ford 292 V8 powered. Here I've added a temp 2bbl with new aircleaner to get her running again,I had sold off the 2x4 set-up long ago, will be adding a 4100 4bbl after things are working OK. Had to also up-date to a alt. and a buddy gave me some slot mags a few years back I'm now using.

My goodness, couldn't you find something other than the Schlitz shifter? Some of us remember some very sorry nights (and mornings) due to that old skunk pee!

Good idea I was thinking about that for a while now, wondering if anybody had made a wood one. I need a dash rail for my 31 roadster and wood would probably work great until I find an original.
