Default Merc Suspension Bumpers

Got the new rubber suspension bumpers for the front of the Merc in the mail today. C&G Ford got them here with no problem. Now to see if I can install without any hitches. Maybe I'll record a little of it for future reference on how to (or how not to) do the job.

You can use a bit of heat to soften them but I wouldn't go much more that 140 degrees F on them.

Try dish soap plus patience.

Actually I was a little surprised how easy the fit. I was doing a test fit before I applied heat and dish soap but they just popped in by hand.
So I am hoping it stays in place and does not pop out on the first bump I hit.

If they are anything like the originals, they will be there for another 40 or 50 years.
