Default Door jamb bumper mystery…

My 1938 Convertible Sedan has these factory installed door jamb clips, which appear to be for certain Model A cars (see photo). It’s just one of many quirks of this car!!
What is the correct rubber door jamb for these clips?
As always, thank you in advance!
Steve

I have no idea, but I really like your car in your avatar.

My '30 Town Sedan uses that clip with rubber bumpers, two per door.

The Ford Automotive Hardware and Trimming Supplies 1928-1938 publication that I have, lists78-702610-A bumper (door) long, as the rubber part that fits among other cars, the 81A-740 1938 Convertible Sedan. I can not find any reference to the clip but from the picture of the bumper it looks like the right type to fit the clip that you show. There is also a 78-702610-B bumper (door) long shown that fits mostly closed cars but looks like it would use the same clip. Hope this helps

Sorry the description for the 78-702610-A should say "short" not "long"

Y-Blockhead—-Thank you! I think that’s is the correct one.

Fundytides- Thank you for checking, but 78-702610-A/B does not fit—I’ve tried them.

Jw Hash—Thanks for your input.

nkaminar-Thank you for the kind words!!

Ron—that’s very interesting! I wouldn’t have anticipated Pierce and Ford sharing parts…
I’m sure your 31 Pierce Arrow is a gorgeous car!!
