Default Epay

Anyone noticed how screwed up ebay is now. I have yet to figure out where all the parts are listed if any. Listings seem not to change day to day.

Nope, still find the "parts" where they are listed and they don't change until they are sold

They have changed their method of payment by eliminating "PayPal" and doing it themselves. I thought long and hard about staying with them, but decided to, because for now they are currently the best alternative. Nature abhors a vacuum, so when something better shows up, I'll be gone from selling through them.

I believe they are ultimately going to shoot themselves in the foot.

Facebook is an alternative that has been working better for me in terms of sales vs. eBay. FB will charge you only if you collect $ and ship through them. I think the fees are about the same. I am a trains, boats and planes guy, i.e. I advertise through eBay, FB, Craigslist and dedicated sites like Fbarn. The biggest issue I see with Facebook is that then it has even more information about you that they can use to their advantage.

jimTN, the listings on bid and buy now are separated (didn't used to be) even though all listings is checked. I usually only look a day ahead on bid group, then go to bottom of page and move 3,4,5,10 pages and to find beginning of buy now group.

Probably an older listing. I had some condensers left on an old listing and they let that go until they were all gone. I couldn't modify the listing or make a new one unless I signed up with their new scheme.

Of course, I haven't looked lately, so they may have "smartened up".

Newly listed still shows same stuff that I looked at this morning. I did get a note from them that they were attempting to put items that matched the description closest up front and thats when the problem started.

I have talked to a couple of their reps by phone. None of them like the new setup and are trying to get the upper level folks to revert to their old system. Lots of luck.
