This is the same speedometer that came in my 1937 Deluxe business coupe. Hope that helps. Dave Collette

Good morning Peter, and Merry Christmas! Your speedo is a '37 Standard. The picture below shows a '37 Deluxe, the difference being that the Deluxe has FOUR digits in the TRIP mileage window, whereas the Standard only has three digits. Dick D Below is an actual Deluxe dash. Deluxe has the two vertical chrome strips, plus the BANJO wheel. Note FOUR digits! The pic just below shows the actual dash in a '37 Standard. Note lack of vertical strips and THREE digit mileage window. Last edited by V8COOPMAN; 12-25-2019 at 11:15 AM. |

DD - Wow - amazing that Ford would go through the expense to have 2 near identical speedo's with the only difference being 1 digit on the trip portion!
Thanks for all the details. |

Correct, there are no 37, 38 or 39 Ford Business Coupes. I know that there was 1940 Business Coupe (with jump seats), which is called by some -- but not Ford-- an "Opera Coupe." What years did Ford have an actual Business Coupe? |

Re: 1937 Ford Speedo?
I believe that there was a business coupe in '41. There was a coupe with jump seats along with the sedan coupe with the full back seat.
