Default Shackle Stud Replacement

I've been searching for KR Wilson BV-121tool to replace my shackle studs (I have NOS studs), but no luck so far. So, I'm thinking about modifying a C clamp with the guides that can be fabricated. Short of having the KR Wilson tool, is there any other way to press the studs in without smashing the shoulder of the housing?

Thanks in advance.

be sure to hone or polish the eye of the spring and use a little light oil . I have used a c clamp many times and a socket to do what you are talking about

I used to do the removable perches and springs using the vise as a press. On my 33 I took a vise that wasn't bolted to the bench and used that to press the bushes into my rear axle perches.
