Showing off the Victoria today!
https://youtu.be/bJdlVNu3IrU
After a three year struggle this Victoria is back on the road! It feels good to be able to hop in and go for a ride! Just need upholstery now. If anyone have some rear seat armrests let me know. |

Love it. What kind of mount are you using for the camera?

Re: Showing off the Victoria today!
It has a rebuilt engine from Bert's in Denver, lightened flywheel, high compression head, insert bearings, Also had them rebuild the differential- and added higher gearing to that. rebuilt the steering box. The gas tank was filled with some nasty sludge when I took over the project- eventually got it cleaned out and treated with evaporust. I had to source two new front seat frames- and had to alter the width of one to make it like stock. I also added a driver seat adjuster to it.
Just need upholstery now including the top. I am having issues with the hood not fitting well at the lower cowl area- not sure if its due to frame sagging etc but its ok for now I guess! |

Re: Showing off the Victoria today!
I noticed the TR-3 in the background of one of your pictures. Brings back memories of my time playing with old British sports cars. I had a '58 TR-3 in that same light blue, wire wheels and all. Absolutely the worst car I've ever owned, and I've owned a bunch of bad ones. Finally sold it to someone in the next town over and skedaddled away from there to deposit the check as fast as I could.

Re: Showing off the Victoria today!
Our current car club president here in Estes Park has a business that restores British cars… that one is show quality. He also has one of the oldest triumphs in the country supposedly. I had a mgb in high school and eventually traded it for a paint job on the other model A in the pictures. Was tired of working on it!

Re: Showing off the Victoria today!
My Dad had a series of British sports cars in the 1950's - MGTD, Triumph TR-2 (second one brought into the SF Bay Area), Austin Healy 100-6. Traded the 100-6 in on a Corvair! in 1962, then had a series of American muscle cars until he finally decided he needed to grow up and started his series of Cadillacs. By the time I started driving in the late '60's all the sports cars were gone, but I remembered them and always wanted one. Finally got the TR-3 sometime in the 1980's and it was horrible. Someone had replaced the SU carbs with Zenith-Strombergs and I could never get, no less keep, them in tune. So I got rid of it and have never looked back.
But, if I could ever get my hands on a Jaguar XK-120... JayJay
