Sparked by David Rehors superb book which shows some of the many original '32 speedometer types, some below - would love to see others especially different ones...

Re: 1932 Ford Speedometer Thread
Would anyone have knowledge of a repo.1932 Ford Delco speedometer face plate ?..the Stewart Warner version is available from several sources but will not interchange with a Delco unit.

Re: 1932 Ford Speedometer Thread
Don't think Delco faces were ever repoped.Contact Don at Baxter Ford in KS.They rebuild and service speedo's and might have an extra.

Re: 1932 Ford Speedometer Thread
I agree with deuce lover that the Delco (and Waltham) face plates were never reproduced.

Re: 1932 Ford Speedometer Thread
I'm lucky to have a very good unit with only slight discoloring on the 0 to 90 numerals, will do for now. Thanks

Re: 1932 Ford Speedometer Thread
Some one may be able to silk screen an old original out there. If the dial size and shape aren't too complicated, it could be reproduced. Most work of this type is in the one off category so a person needs to find a guy that will do that and take the pains of getting it correct.

Re: 1932 Ford Speedometer Thread
80 mph Cooper Stewart... Never fails to amaze me that in one model there could be so many variants let alone one model in only a part year...in the UK alone four variants of Cooper Stewart gauges.

Re: 1932 Ford Speedometer Thread
Find somebody with a computer and a graphics program. The black and white face would be easy to reproduce but getting the correct font for the name could be a problem.
(I did my gauges using a $25 Print House program. The Ford name isn't perfect but its pretty close.) |

Re: 1932 Ford Speedometer Thread
Here is a Delco that is in my 32K 5 window. Nothing on the face but does say Delco on the rear. It has a black case as stated in the Rehor book.
