Good evening....

I learned a couple of nights ago that I have acute leukemia. While it has a very high cure rate, I'm in for a battle over the next 3-4 weeks as we try to drive the disease into remission. This will set the stage for a longer effort to wipe out the remaining cancer cells in my body. I have great confidence that this all can be done. For the next several weeks I'll be in the hospital working the remission goal....sure would appreciate it if you'd keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers.

Best wishes to you. This can be controlled and it is tough but doable as I too have been through this. Do what your doctors say and know that we have you in our thoughts and need you back here-I regularly follow your projects!

That would have been frightening news...

The one good thing in all of this, is what massive strides they've made in research & medicine over the last few years.
You really have every chance of making it through Dave, so do...or take...everything you can to stay calm. I know it's hard to be calm right now, but stress will make you sicker.

Now go get er done and don't worry...cuz we're gonna save your spot

Thank you, all of you. We're told that the cure rate for my form of the disease is very high and that there's every reason to be looking on the bright side. So we are - with your help. Though I am tied to a hospital bed for the next several weeks, I can be on this Forum and chat with you all as we go through treatment. What a huge difference this makes!
