And not to leave the technical out....does anyone know where I can get find a capatability chart for spark plugs?

Hi Shelly, spark plugs for what engine? I use NGK B6L for an 24 stud V8, some use Autolite 216, Champion H10.....Ed

Many years ago, an old mechanic gave me a booklet published by the Ethyl Corporation which covered sparkplugs. It displayed all the commonly available plus of the era (All domestic) on a common heat range chart. The chart reflected results obtained in Ethyl's own laboratories. What I found interesting was that all the commonly published interchange charts were only approximations. In other words, the AC equivalent of a Champion H-10 did not have the same heat dissipation rate. Close but not the same This was true across the board: AC vs Champion vs Autolite vs Bluecrown vs Western Auto.
