Default Fitchburg car show final results

We had great weather and a good turnout. Much enjoyed visit with Jeff and John who drove up from Maryland. Thanks to everyone for any contribution they made. The airport loves us and is amazed how quickly we get the place cleaned up. That says something for the crowd.

Our group had a great time as always. Sold lots of stuff and the weather was good. Met lots of great people. Many nice autos as well. Thanks

Left Lakes Region of N.H. around 6 and got to the show at 8:00 and the place was jumpin already, great weather, great crowd. A first time for my grandson,a second time for my son a quite a few times for myself. Unfortunately, I did not find any items on my shopping list so the $ burning in my pocket remained intact ! Good day just the same and you guys do a great job with all the work that goes into production. Thanks

Yes, nice event. I got there about 8 and walked the isles until 10. Nothing I absolutely had to have, so it was reasonable entertainment. I found it interesting that most of the cars on display were unattended . . . their drivers were obviously scouring the swap meet isles too.

Now that describes pretty much every event I attend -- but every once in awhile something catches my eye that I must have.

Did I tell you story about the Ardun heads??? Nope - and I'm not gonna. LOL

B&S,
Feel free to tell the rest of us about the Ardun heads. I promise, we won't tell Ritzy1 about them.

Frank, would there be any possibilities for adding another hour or two on ending time of this meet in future? Maybe end at 2:00 or 3:00 pm instead of 1:00. With the size of this years meet, it was difficult for me (being an old dude) to cover all of the swap meet and the car show.

I was even thinking about hijacking someone's battery power cart to get around faster

It would be much easier if you did not stop to talk for 10 minutes every 5 minutes. Actually we do not end it, it ends itself.

Frank, I think when the published time is 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on flyers, in magazine's, on websites, etc., folks who want to avoid a mass exodus, and huge backup trying to get out of there start leaving around 11:00/11:30 am. If the published time was say.. 8:00 to 2:00 or 3:00 pm, it might delay the mass exodus to 12:30 or 1:30. Just sayin'.

It was worth the trip up from Pennsylvania. I got to see some old, and not so old friends. I intend to come back next year too.

Fitchburg is great show, get's better every year along with the weather. Sold a '40 Coupe seat, and some other stuff. We usually get there before 7AM to setup , and it is in full swing by then. The early bird get's the worm. Gone by 10.5 or 11AM.

Hi Everyone. The volunteers who put this show on did a great job. Obviously everyone knew what needed to happen and got it done efficiently. Thanks a bunch!

The swap was worth the 18 hour round trip up and back. JM was a great road partner, as usual. His new F-250 was a dreamboat. He came back with more money than he left with. Scored a few good and rare parts too!

I officially hate the George Washington Bridge!

It was hard to get through the whole meet what with the socializing going on. I really value the V-8 crowd and would gladly miss a few piles of parts to spend time with the true blue!

I think we ran across Frank Miller Sr. ten times during the day! We also got a private visit at Frank Sr's garage on Saturday evening.

Thank goodness someone took pics of the car show because we totally missed that!

The T Shirt is beautiful. Wife said she likes it cuz it has a dog. I didn't notice!

Hey Jack! Hope you are well. I am around, mostly lurk in here and post occasionally.
