Couple of books I like and if you are considering modifications, JWL's book is a good reference. And threw in Gramp's book as well.

I was able to get that tube out tonight with your method, Thanks Tommy.

Where's the best place to get Ron's book nowadays? I'd like to purchase from somewhere he will get royalties from if he does. I see VanPelt has them, and I tried PMing 4tford to see if he still does but I can't PM quite yet.

Forgot to mention in regards to modification. As of now my only plans to stray from a stock engine are the intake and distributor. I have an offy 3x2 with 3 94's and progressive linkage that I'm planning on running. I haven't ordered one yet, but I plan on a Mallory mech. adv. distributor for the lack of vacuum.

Will do a few small things to bring it into the modern world as well, like a remote spin on oil filter, and PCV.

The remote spin on oil filter should be accompanied by a full low system which should be done with the block bare.

Other than Barnes and Nobel, Speedway Motors has them for $19.99.

Yep, it was already chopped when my grandpa pulled it out of a mud field up near Duluth in the early 90’s.

For sure. This place has been my go-to for questions I have on the car. I’ve been able to find almost all of my questions already answered here.

If your planning modifications from stock, you really need to read JWL's book IMO.
