Replacement Door Key w/o key
Does anyone know who can make a key for a 1934 Ford door lock if I don't have the key? I have the cylinder and the code number.
Thanks |

Sometimes there is a locksmith in your hardware store but I would bet any good locksmith could do it you can order the key blanks on line

Re: Replacement Door Key w/o key
Thanks everyone for the replies. Phil has made keys for me before and I have emailed him but I have not received a reply. His email may have changed. I will try the phone number.

Re: Replacement Door Key w/o key
I’ve been monkeying around for three months trying to get a key made for a ‘46 Mercury trunk handle. They were stolen.
The lock shop had made several keys for me over the years but now claim this is a different type of cylinder. I’ll have 32 Phil take care of it for me. |

If you can't catch up with 32 Phil, I am still "cutting to code", but it is sometimes best to have the cylinder in hand to tweak for worn parts.

Can he do Model A Ford "pop out" switches. I have the key code and need someone to cut a key.

Re: Replacement Door Key w/o key
32 Phil does not do model A locks / keys. He told me this when I sent him 2 1932 trunk handles, and 2 model A trunk handles.

John McClure has done work for me and I am very happy with it. I will send him more work if needed in the future.

I will 2nd that about John. He does a great job! He converted my 40 trunk lock so I do not have to lock it each time I close the trunk lid.

Re: Replacement Door Key w/o key
A little off topic but I always keep a set of keys for all of my cars and other locks in my safety deposit box with my trust. It is just inconvenient enough to get to that they will always be there when needed.
