Radiator filter - where purchase?
I need a Gano radiator filter for my Model A.
Gano may have gone out of business? Does anyone have an extra one for sale or can you recommend another brand? Thank you, Neil [email protected] |

Re: Radiator filter - where purchase?
Does anyone have a picture of one installed?
Also, which way does the water flow? Does the water flow from the cylinder head up into the radiator or from the radiator down into the head? If the Gano is installed in the upper radiator hose, will it keep debris from entering my new radiator? Last edited by Neil Mylar LakewoodCA; 11-21-2020 at 04:06 PM. |

Re: Radiator filter - where purchase?
Alden,
Thank you for the info. I left them a voicemail. I assume you purchased the clear one? Is the debris actually trapped or would it fall back into the head if the filter was removed? Regards, Neil |

Re: Radiator filter - where purchase?
I fill my cooling system with the RUST911 mixture. Drove the car for a while. Let it set overnight. Drained it, it came out black. Repeated the process twice more. On the third time the RUST911 mixture came out clear. The block and radiator were both clean as could be. Any and all rust particles were dissolved and gone. Refill with coolant and rust inhibitor and you will have no need for a filter.
