Default Makes me sad...

Saw this on Hemming's this morning. Makes me sad. I hope the driver and passengers are OK.

Are those bullet holes in the door? Bonnie and Clyde in there?

granted it kept their knees from slamming into the dashboard but the drivers chest got impaled with the steering shaft/horn rod since his/her upper body wasnt restrained... I too hope they are OK.

Very sad indeed. Looked like a nice car,,before the accident. Hopefully it wasn't as bad as it looks, especially the steering wheel impact.

Oh, that's too bad. Looked like a nice car. Hope the occupants are OK. These old cars just don't stand a chance against a Modern. Everyone drives so crazy these days.

It is sad to see that happen, hopefully everyone is alright. I imagine that the insurance company totaled it and sent it to auction.

The car is being auctioned off at:

How did the Kanter Bros get their name involved? They are NOT mod A specialists. Their place is in Boonton, NJ and I've been there,. Its marked with a large Packard sign right off I 287 as you go into town from the south. I will never forget the condescending treatment myself and a friend received one day when we drove up there.
Terry
PS. I misunderstood that the ad for Kanters was just a pop up. It came up on the page and I
assumed that the seller was in some way connected to Kanters. My Confusion!

Seems like there are more than $675.00 of parts on that car.

Lt quarter window has "Bio" written on it. Some salvage yards use the biohazard symbol as a decal. Normally not a good sign....

All car wrecks are sad. Today as we came back from a doctor appointment, we were traveling on RT2 and came upon a wreck that hit the guard rail in the median and burst into flames. 3 ambulances were parked there, but nobody was in them, and they were not leaving for the hospital, so I assumed that the occupants were trapped in the car as it burned furyously. The tires were exploding as we passed and the flames were 20 feet high. A terrible way to meet your end.

Taking time to post a photo like this is a very informative and thoughtful way to remind all of us and all of our Model A friends to always stay alert.

Thanks.

Yes, stay alert and never trust a red light OR a stop sign. I have seen so many of them run over the last few years. Everybody in a hurry. "Drive like hell-you'll get there", is what my Dad used to say!

i dunno, i dont see much more than that... Whole body is bent, is labeled as biohazard in the description so interior is garbage (blood, fecies, urine, hopefully no internal parts...) parts of the engine might be OK but that hard of a force may have bent the crankshaft. Im sure the flywheel housing/trans bell is cracked. Probably jammed it all back into the torque tube so who knows what that did. I think there is just about $675 worth of parts that arent mangled...

I've seen worst repaired. Those holes in the door appear to be stickers.
