Default No awards, but we like it....

After two and a half years of our part-time "labor of love" we finally got the interior put together where the grand kids aren't terrified to sit on the seats. It's not quite to original specs, but neither is the rest of the car, and we are just fine with that. This is one of Mac's Cartouche kits that ran about $3500, and I would like to say there were quite a few short-comings with the fit and and "ease" of installation. I had an experienced installer do the work and due to the many modifications his ball-park estimate of $1K turned into $2200. I'm happy with it, but if the Mac's rep wants to know more send me a PM and I can provide details. We will have the car in a local show this weekend and are glad she has a little more class now.

That's very nice, you should enjoy that for a long time, that's the best award! Is that a 'baby' Lincoln I see in the last photo?

Thanks. The installers were a semi retired man and his 40ish "apprentice" son. They did a great job and were a pleasure to work with. The red car with the giant hood is a 1949 Dodge Wayfarer Roadster. My wife will be driving that one to the car show, and I must say the blonde gal looks great in red!

C'mon Andy, you know the PIZZA doesn't last long enough to bring any in one of the cars... LOL That dodge is a rare one.

We get a lot of "what is it" when we drive the 49 Wayfarer, but I'm still partial to the old Fords.
