Another Reason to Love the A
The other day after a frustrating day at work, I jumped in the car, dropped off my wife's eBay packages, and stopped at an ice cream stand to sneak in a treat. While sitting there I heard someone approaching and heard a camera noise as I looked up. It was the person who organized the Memorial Day Parade I was in, and who rode with me in the parade. He yelped "I love this car" and we both laughed. Amazing how this car draws in the good spirits of people.

Likely half the people that have an A do so because they like the attention!

Re: Another Reason to Love the A
I know i enjoy driving the A because it reminds me of a simpler time, when a man said what he meant and meant what he said. When a handshake sealed a deal, your word was your bond.
Today people just spend their time sniping at you online. I honestly don't know why I bother. |

Thanks Ruth. I come here to relax, decompress and learn about the A Model, as dad called them. It seems many get on here after having a really bad day, and want to take out their frustration on someone who is out of arm's reach. I ghosted this forum for years...I think I was happier back then. |

Re: Another Reason to Love the A
Often when we have the 31 coupe out, folks will come by and ask about the car. If there are youngsters in the group, I'll ask, "know what a rumble seat is?" ... and the youngster gets to climb in and get a picture taken. ... the drill... left foot- right foot- left foot on the seat cushion- flop in---SMILE! I memorable picture, I'm sure.

Re: Another Reason to Love the A
I have been driving my roadster a lot lately. I get a lot of attention. Sometimes people are looking at my car and not at the road, filming me as they drive. Not a great idea.

Model A's are just a fun little car
Nothing says 'Model A Ford' more than a Tudor Sedan, neat cars! Of course the '30-'31 Coupes and Roadsters do also. And the CCPU and the---------------- |
